KnowMyWhy Personal

A quieter place to make sense of moments.

The personal closed beta gives young people, parents and carers a calm place to capture what happened now, add context later and build a clearer picture over time. It can be used without a school or professional account.

What the current beta offers

Less pressure to explain everything at once.

Some moments are easier to notice than to describe. KnowMyWhy separates capturing from explaining, so reflection can happen at a pace that feels more manageable rather than demanding a full account in the moment.

  • Start with a quick moment, without needing the full explanation.
  • Return later to add context, feelings, triggers or what helped.
  • Keep the young person’s words, strengths and preferences visible.
  • Use KnowMyWhy independently, or connect trusted accounts when useful.

Inside the current closed beta

A simple space to notice, record and return.

These are current screens from the working beta, captured with fictional example content. The interface will continue to change as testing develops.

Connections & sharing

One record can hold more than one perspective.

A parent or young person can use KnowMyWhy entirely on their own. If they choose to connect with family or a professional, authorised accounts can see shared information around the same young-person record.

A personal record, not a verdict

Patterns should prompt curiosity, not label the person.

Reflections can help someone prepare for a conversation, remember what has helped before or put their experience into words. They should not be used to diagnose, predict or make decisions without the person.

Your perspective

The person’s language, preferences and meaning remain central, including when a parent or trusted adult contributes their own view.

Your pace

Recording a short Moment first and returning later can reduce the pressure to process and explain while something still feels intense.

Your choice

Private and shared information are kept distinct, so connection does not mean every reflection is automatically visible to everyone else.

Closed beta

Would this kind of reflection help you or your family?

We are prioritising real-world feedback before wider release. You can share what feels useful, unclear or missing from the current beta.
